History

Micro was one of our Virginia Girls. As the story goes, 3 tigers were found shut up in a cattlecar in Virginia. They were malnourished, living in filth. Rescued by Virginia's Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, they found a home at Carolina Tiger Rescue (then CPT), where they were slowly introduced again to sunlight and open spaces.

The 3 sisters were named after 3 famous Civil War battles: Antietam, Manassas, and Shiloh.

Shiloh's name was changed to Micro, and this sweet girl enjoyed many years at CPT in the company of her fellow survivors. After Antietam died of cancer, Micro and Manassas kept the faith of their story; shy representatives waiting to greet those who venture into the deepest part of the compound, both living out their days in a quiet enclosure at the back on the facility.
